The Black Healthcare Professionals Network (BHPN) is a national initiative dedicated to connecting Black healthcare professionals across Canada. Our mission is to create a platform for networking, professional growth, and community impact while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the healthcare sector. Through our growing directory and professional programming, we aim to strengthen representation and improve healthcare access for Black communities.

BHPN is seeking multiple skilled and creative Videographer/Photographers to support our upcoming Member Media Days, a campaign initiative designed to highlight the stories, businesses, and professional journeys of Black healthcare professionals within our network. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to capture high-quality video and photo content, bringing BHPN members’ expertise and entrepreneurial impact to life. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments and can produce engaging visual content tailored to social media and digital platforms.

Hourly rate: $4816 salary - applicable tax deductions

Job Requirements:

Locations: Opportunities available in the following cities: Kitchener | Ottawa | London | Windsor |  Must have reliable transportation to travel within city
Commitment: 8 Week Contract, Starting June 2

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the BHPN Marketing & Communications team to plan and execute visual content aligned with campaign messaging and branding

     

  • Capture professional video and photo content during Member Media Days, including business highlights, member interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments

     

  • Produce polished, engaging short-form video content (e.g., Reels) that reflects each member’s story and professional offering

     

  • Receive creative direction and feedback from the BHPN team and incorporate revisions as needed

     

  • Manage and organize all content assets for internal use and future campaigns

     

  • Ensure consistency in visual tone, brand alignment, and production quality across all deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree in videography, photography, film production, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio showcasing both video and photo work
  • Proficient with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop
  • Experienced with using professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Strong storytelling and content development skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital advertising best practices
  • Must have access to own equipment and editing software
